Yobo Gives His Opinion On Mbappe, Dani Alves Display Against Manchester United
Published: February 13, 2019
Dani Alves was hailed by former Marseille defender Joseph Yobo after helping Paris Saint-Germain beat Manchester United 2-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Yobo has highlighted the quality of the Brazil international who was deployed as a right midfielder against the Red Devils.
''Dani Alves, we all know what he brings to the team, what he brings to football,'' Yobo said during his post-match analysis on SuperSport.
''He's getting towards the end of his career, 35, but the desire, the passion and commitment even though this is Champions League.
''The injuries PSG had, he needed to step up, he was playing a bit out of position but that shows how a good footballer he is.
''He contributed immense and from set pieces as well. Look how he took that ball, very well and it could have gone in. With Dani Alves you always know there is a goal, he did brilliantly well.''

Yobo pointed out that Kylian Mbappé had a quiet first half but was satisfied with the performance of the World Cup winner, especially as his goal which doubled the advantage put PSG in a good position to advance to the quarterfinals.
''We expected something from him, he started a bit slow in the first half. This is the Champions League, a tough game for both sides.
''The goal that he scored was a very good goal. For a player that is very quick, he knows where the ball is going to come. He just went ahead behind the defenders and got in front.
''He didn't particularly play very well today but he scored a goal very important for his team.
''When you're playing away from home, sometimes it's not about the performance, it's the result as well. Now they can go home with a comfortable victory,'' Yobo concluded.
