Published: May 25, 2019
Nigeria U20 invitee Jayden Bennetts has been offered his first professional contract by Premier League side Watford, the Hornets have reported through their official webpage.
The attacking midfielder, who was a second year scholar in the 2018-2019 season, has been offered a one-year contract.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that some clubs could be monitoring the situation of Bennetts as he has not yet signed the contract on the table.
Watford manager Javia Gracia is considering inviting the Nigerian wonderkid to join the first team in their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.
As previously reported by this website, Watford have confirmed that they have exercised their option to extend the contract of promising Nigerian midfielder Emmanuel Adebiyi.
In exercise of the option contained in Clause 4.2 of the scholarship agreement between Watford and Adebiyi, the Vicarage Stadium outfit have renewed the agreement for a further period of one year from the first day of July 2019, meaning next season, the player will be a third-year scholar at the club.
The two highly-rated Nigerian teenagers helped Watford reach the semifinals of the prestigious FA Youth Cup last term.
