Chelsea Loanee Victor Moses Ends Season With Highest League Goal Tally In Seven Years
Published: May 26, 2019
Chelsea loanee Victor Moses has ended the season with his highest league goal tally in seven years after netting for Fenerbahce in their 3-1 victory against Antalyaspor on Sunday evening.
One minute into second-half stoppage time, the former Nigerian international finished off a rebound after his original effort was saved by goalkeeper Ferhat Kaplan.
His 91st minute goal took him up to four for the season from 14 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig and he got on the scoresheet in each of his last two games.
You have to go back to the 2011-2012 season to find the last time Moses managed more league goals in a single season, the six he scored in his final season with Wigan Athletic.
The 2009-2010 campaign was his best scoring season when he finished with seven goals combined for Crystal Palace (6) and Wigan Athletic (1) in the Championship and Premier League respectively.
Today's match against Antalyaspor could be Moses's last game for Fenerbahce, with reports linking him with a summer move to Inter Milan despite penning a 17-month loan deal with the Istanbul club in the January transfer window.
