U20 World Cup: Barcelona Super Kid Who Admires Messi Reveals USA's Plan To Beat Nigeria
Published: May 27, 2019
There will be no margin for errors when the United States take on the Flying Eagles at the 2019 U20 World Cup on Monday evening after they lost their opening game to Ukraine.
One of the key players for the United States side is Barcelona winger Konrad De La Fuente, who admires the best player on the planet Lionel Messi and has drawn comparisons with the two-footed Ousmane Dembélé.
De La Fuente has revealed how they plan to beat the Nigeria U20s and acknowledged that it would be a difficult game against the physical Africans.
''We are optimists. In the first meeting the result was unfavorable, but we played well. With Nigeria, we must be more patient, create more fringe opportunities and improve efficiency,'' De La Fuente told Dziennik Zachodni.
''A difficult meeting awaits us, because Nigeria is a physically strong team. But we look only at ourselves. If we present our best football, we will definitely win.''
Another three points for the Flying Eagles today would be enough to get Paul Aigbogun's team through to the knockout rounds of the FIFA U20 World Cup.
