Published: May 31, 2019
Through a press release, newly-promoted EFL League Two club Salford City have announced that Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dieseruvwe has committed his future to the club by penning a new deal.
The agreement between club and player will keep the attacker at the Greater Manchester based club until at least the end of the 2020-2021 season, having inked a two-year deal.
Dieseruvwe was rewarded with a new contract after helping Salford City clinch promotion to the English fourth-tier in the recently concluded season, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists in 27 games, including scoring the opening goal of the Promotion Final at Wembley.
The 24-year-old spent a portion of the 2018-2019 campaign on loan at Chester FC as he recovered from injury.
His other clubs include Sheffield Wednesday, Hyde, Fleetwood Town, Mansfield Town, Kidderminster Harriers and Boston United.
Salford City are partially owned by Manchester United legends David Beckham, Gary and Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.
