Official : Nigeria Striker Oshoala To Join Barcelona On Permanent Deal
Published: May 31, 2019Barcelona Femeni have announced that they have reached an agreement with Chinese club Dalian Quanjian for the permanent transfer of Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala.
The 24-year-old has agreed a three-year contract that will keep her at the Blaugranes until the end of the 2021-2022 campaign and will put pen to paper on the deal as soon as her schedule permits.
Oshoala initially joined Barcelona on loan from Dalian Quanjian on January 31, 2019 and has deservedly earned herself a permanent deal after netting 8 goals in 11 competitive matches.
She became the first African to score in the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League as Barcelona were beaten 4-1 by Lyon in Budapest 13 days ago.
The FC Robo product was plying her trade at Rivers Angels in her homeland before a celebrated move to Liverpool Women in 2015 and also represented Arsenal Women in England.
Oshoala is set to compete in her second Women's World Cup which begins in France next month.
