Published: June 05, 2019
Former Chelsea youth-teamer Manny Oyeleke has extended his contract with EFL League Two club Port Vale.
The central midfielder cum defender has inked a fresh two-year deal, keeping him at The Valiants until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
He was an influential member of the Port Vale squad last term, so much so that they lost 10 out of 14 matches he was unavailable for selection due to injury.
Reacting to Oyeleke's new deal, manager John Askey told Port Vale's official website : ''It's a big statement by the club to get Manny under contract and it shows that he sees something exciting is happening here which is great.
"For Manny to sign a two-year deal, it's a step in the right direction for the club and that's important if we want to progress.

''Since I arrived here he's been a good player. He's been injury-hit unfortunately but when he's played we've always won more.''
Apart from the aforementioned clubs, Oyeleke previously wore the jerseys of Brentford, Northampton Town, Aldershot Town, Woking, Exeter City and Canvey Island.
