Published: June 08, 2019
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has named his starting line-up for the pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly against Zimbabwe at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba on Saturday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
With uncertainty over the fitness of Katsina United's Ikechukwu Ezenwa, South African-based Daniel Akpeyi has been selected to be in between the pipes ahead of Francis Uzoho.
Chelsea's Kenneth Omeruo and Brighton's Leon Balogun start in central defense with Ola Aina and Jamilu Collins occupying the fullback positions.
Rohr has opted to play three midfielders with Obi Mikel, Oghenekaro Etebo and Alex Iwobi getting the nod.
FC Midtjylland's Paul Onuachu starts his second successive game for the Super Eagles and the lanky striker will be flanked by Samuel Chukwueze and Samuel Kalu.
