Ex-Eagles Whizkid Hungbo Fires Brace For Watford U23s Ahead Of Return To Crystal Palace
Former Crystal Palace wonderkid Joseph Hungbo continued with his impressive start to his career at Watford by netting a brace as the Hornets U23 side thrashed Crewe Alexandra 4-1 in a Professional Development League match at Gresty Road on Wednesday.

Watford U23 coach Hayden Mullins handed starts to four players of Nigerian descent in Jamal Balogun, Emmanuel Adebiyi, Jayden Bennetts and Hungbo.

Hungbo tapped in at the far post to open the scoring in the 28th minute and the visitors were two goals to the good at the end of the first half, thanks to Sam Dalby's strike on the half hour mark.

Twelve minutes into the second half, Hungbo scored the pick of the goals with an absolute screamer into the roof of the net.

Following his brace against Crewe Alexandra, the winger has now scored seven goals in total since the start of the season.

Watford who top the Professional Development League South standings travel to Crystal Palace on Monday, October 14 in their next game.
