West Ham's Nigerian Winger Johnson Takes Tally For The Season To 21 Goals
West Ham youth-teamer Joseph Johnson bagged a brace as the Hammers were beaten 4-3 by Stoke City in an U16 Premier League Cup match on Saturday, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.

Regarded as one of the best 2005-born players of Nigerian descent in England, the winger came off the bench for the final 30 minutes.

Johnson has impressive goalscoring stats this season, contributing to 31 goals (21 goals, 10 assists) in all tournaments.

Likened to Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, he is on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation technical committee staff ahead of a potential call-up to the Nigeria U15s, Future Eagles.

Nigeria U15 coach Usman Haruna has opened the door for Johnson to train with the squad when the camp reopens.

He has made remarkable progress over the last one year given that he managed only 17 goals over the course of the 2018-2019 campaign.

Johnson is age-eligible to represent the Golden Eaglets at 2021 FIFA U17 World Cup scheduled to take place in Peru.
