Tottenham Or Chelsea? More Confusion Over The Club That Made Bid For Super Eagles Star
Published: May 13, 2020
There is more confusion over the identity of the club that presumably made an offer to sign Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen.
Abdellah Boulma and Le 10 Sport reported on Tuesday that Chelsea submitted a bid for the Lille number seven.
However, Boulma, who claims to write for FIFA's official website among others, has backtracked on his previous statement which alleged that Chelsea were the Premier League team that slapped in a bid for the 21-year-old.
Now, he is claiming that Lille have received an offer from Tottenham Hotspur not Chelsea for the Nigeria international.
Eleven days ago, it was reported that a mysterious club tabled a bid of 85 million euros for Osimhen, but allnigeriasoccer.com was first to dismiss the reports.
Lille sporting director, Luis Campos dropped a massive hint over the possible destination of the former Wolfsburg starlet by revealing that the striker will play for a top three club in the world.
Osimhen is believed to be on the radar of La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, in addition to his numerous English suitors.
