'They're A Good Side' - Eze On Why Crystal Palace Suffered Heavy Defeat To Chelsea
Published: October 03, 2020
Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze was understandably disappointed after the Eagles were thrashed 4-0 by Chelsea in a Premier League game at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
It was a great day for Ben Chilwell, scoring and assisting on his league debut for Chelsea, there were two goals from the spot for Jorginho and Kurt Zouma scored the other goal.
For the first time in his Crystal Palace career, Eze lasted ninety minutes on the pitch in the Premier League.
"It’s not easy. They’re a good side and they punish you if you give them the chance so it’s a bit of a kick in the teeth but we have to go again," Eze told Premier League Productions.
"As an attacking player you want to be creating and scoring goals but they were a good side and we weren’t up to it today."

Palace's next match after the international break comes up against Brighton & Hove and Eze hopes they can return to winning ways.
"We want to work as hard as we can and finish as high up the table as we can. So results like today, we just have to move on and keep working.
"It’s difficult because you never want to concede four goals but we worked hard against a very good team. But if you give them opportunities they’re going to take them, so it’s tough," he added.
