Man City join Man Utd, Liverpool in transfer battle for 14-year-old ex-Arsenal midfielder of Nigerian descent

Premier League champions Manchester City have joined the race to sign highly-rated Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Femi Fapetu.
Allnigeriasoccer.com reported last month that Liverpool and Manchester United were battling to sign the talented 14-year-old but the two teams now face competition in the form of the Citizens, according to the well-informed Rising Ballers, an expert on up-and-coming young players.
Having trained with Liverpool and Manchester United in June, Femi and his Nigerian dad Bade Fapetu have a difficult decision to make on his next career destination.
Femi Fapetu ended his association with Arsenal in the summer, following in the footsteps of his sibling Bayo who switched to Derby County on scholarship terms.
The Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United target has been described as 'one of the best in his age group'.
Premier League clubs are banned from signing foreign players under the
age of eighteen post-Brexit and have now set their sights on the top
young talents in England.
Manchester City are the current champions of the U18 Premier League and Premier League 2 and have in their youth team ranks exciting teenagers of Nigerian descent such as Tai Sodje, Samuel Edozie and Dire Mebude.
