'The only absence is Morelos & Ryan Jack' - Gerrard confirms Aribo has returned to Rangers training
Published: July 30, 2021
Manager Steven Gerrard has confirmed that Joe Aribo has returned to training at Glasgow Rangers ahead of their Scottish Premiership opener against Livingston at Ibrox Stadium.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported three days ago that the Light Blues have been handed a major boost
ahead of their league opener against Livingston by the return to
training of the Super Eagles midfielder.
Aribo did not participate in Rangers' last three pre-season games with Arsenal, Brighton & Hove and Real Madrid
due to health-related issues.
The 25-year-old is seemingly in contention to be named in the matchday squad vs Livingston and the two massive Champions League qualifiers with Malmo in the coming days.
Asked at Friday morning's press conference if Aribo is ready to come back, Gerrard answered : "We have a fully fit squad training today, the only absence is Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Jack.
"Alfredo is ready and fit to start training once he is available to return. Alfredo will rejoin sometime next week so the squad is looking really strong.
"We have a couple players who we will make a late decision on but we are 99% fit, available and ready to go."

Last season, Aribo directly participated in fifteen goals (eight goals and seven assists) in 42 appearances across all competitions.
