Randers reject N1billion bid from Barnsley for Manchester United-reared winger
Published: August 31, 2021
Championship club Barnsley have been left frustrated in their attempts to sign Manchester United-reared winger Tosin Kehinde on deadline-day.
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that Barnsley have had a 1.7 million euros (N1 billion) bid for Kehinde rejected by Danish Superliga club Randers.
The 2019 Dream Team VII invitee has been heavily courted by Barnsley in the summer transfer window but Randers are playing spoilsport in the proposed deal.
A 2.3 million euros (N1.4 billion) bid from FC Copenhagen for the services of Kehinde was also rejected by the Danish Cup winners.
The 23-year-old emerged as a key player for Randers in 2020-2021,
helping the club win their second Danish Cup and finish sixth in the
Superliga, contributing two goals and eight assists in 32 games.
And he has picked up from where he left off last season, with a goal involvement of four (1 goal, 3 assists) in seven matches across all competitions in the new campaign.
Kehinde has less than two years to run on his contract at Randers, whom he joined from Portuguese club CD Feirense in July 2019.
