'Would have scored vs 10-men Chelsea' - Genk chief urges Liverpool to sign Super Eagles star

Racing Genk technical director Dimitri De Condé has urged Premier League side Liverpool to make a move for Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu when the transfer market reopens for business.
On the back of his excellent displays last season with 35 goals in all competitions for the Limburg club, Onuachu was expected to move to a more glamorous league this summer but the transfer window shut in major European Leagues with the lanky attacker still on the books of the Belgian Cup winners.
To buttress his point, De Conde made reference to the recent Premier League meeting between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield, where the European champions were able to hang on for a point despite playing the entirety of the second half with ten men following the red card shown to Reece James.
The Genk chief underlined that the qualities of Onuachu are different to Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Divock Origi.
"Have you seen Liverpool-Chelsea? Liverpool have top strikers, but none with the profile of Onuachu," De Condé told Het Belang van Limburg via voetbalbelgie.be.
"He would have scored against ten men (Chelsea). I'm not saying that Paul would complete 90 minutes every week at Liverpool, but a club like that could really use him."
Onuachu was in the Genk side beaten twice by Liverpool in the 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League group stage.
