Racing Genk's Onuachu, Randers' Odey, Norrkoping's Adegbenro score for Euro clubs
Published: September 19, 2021
Three days after netting a stoppage-time winner against Rapid Vienna in the group stage of the Europa League, Paul Onuachu netted another late goal to hand Racing Genk all three points in a Belgian First Division A clash against Sint-Truiden at Stadion Stayen on Sunday afternoon.
In the 83rd minute, Onuachu scored the winning goal when he slotted into the far corner from a tight angle.
In his last five games in the Belgian top-flight, the Super Eagles striker has failed to get on the scoresheet just once, against RSC Anderlecht exactly three weeks ago.
On his starting debut for Randers, Racing Genk loanee Stephen Odey contributed in a big way to their 3-2 win over FC Nordsjælland in a Danish Superliga match staged at Cepheus Park Randers.
Odey broke the deadlock after seven minutes and restored Randers's two-goal advantage when he headed home in the 35th minute after a free-kick on the edge of the box from Johnsen.
He almost scored a hat-trick in the closing minutes but saw his effort saved by the Nordsjælland goalkeeper after he was fed by Tosin Kehinde.
IFK Norrköping striker Samuel Adegbenro continues to make a name for himself in the Swedish Allsvenskan, scoring his eleventh of the season to help his side thrash Orebro 3-0 at PlatinumCars Arena.
Adegbenro has either scored or assisted in his last eight games in the division after finding the net on the hour mark vs Orebro.
