Reading's Nigeria underage international nominated for Sky Bet Championship GOTM
Published: October 08, 2021
One of the goals scored by Tom Dele-Bashiru in Reading's 3-1 win over Peterborough United has been shortlisted for the official Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month for September 2021.
The Watford loanee arced his 20-yard curler inches inside the post and under the bar with pace and precision as the Peterborough United goalkeeper remained rooted to the spot.
To win the monthly accolade, Dele-Bashiru faces competition from Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic and West Brom midfielder Alex Mowatt.
With his brace against Peterborough, the Manchester City academy product took his tally to three goals as a professional.
Dele-Bashiru's first senior goal was against Tranmere Rovers in a third round FA Cup fixture back in January 2020.
The winner of the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month is chosen by a fan poll on the official Sky Bet Championship Twitter account, and will be announced on Friday, October 15.
