Dennis celebrates Watford's win vs Everton despite his suspension by English FA
Published: October 24, 2021
Emmanuel Dennis has taken to social media to celebrate Watford's come-from-behind 5-2 win over Everton in a Premier League match at Goodison Park on Saturday.
After coming off the bench to replace Ismaïla Sarr, the Nigeria international made a
huge impact on the game, setting up two of the goals scored by Joshua
King and capped off a brilliant display with Watford's fifth goal in the
first minute of stoppage time.
On the flip side, Dennis picked up his fifth caution in this season's Premier League against the Toffees, and has been given a one-match suspension by the English Football Association, ruling him out of the visit of Southampton to The Vic next weekend.
The Super Eagles striker joined compatriot William Troost-Ekong in the book for a late challenge on Richarlison in the 70th minute.
Prior to the trip to Merseyside, he was yellow carded in matches against Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United and Leeds United.
Dennis posted on Instagram : "What a performance from the boys +3 point".
William Troost-Ekong, who has earned two yellow cards, must avoid picking up three more bookings from Watford's next ten games in the Premier League.
