Confirmed : Nigeria U23 international and Coventry City go their separate ways
Published: November 02, 2021
Nigeria U23 international Bright Enobakhare is in search of a new club two months before the re-opening of the transfer window and this is official.
Championship club Coventry City write on their website that the contract of the striker has been mutually cancelled, without giving further details.
Enobakhare was four months into his two-year contract with the Sky Blues, whom he joined on a free transfer on July 13, 2021.
His only appearance for Coventry City this season was against Northampton Town in the Carabao Cup back in August, and he wasn't listed for any of the fifteen games played by the club in the Championship.
The Nigerian-born forward enjoyed a successful loan spell at Coventry City from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the second half of the 2018-2019 campaign, scoring six goals and providing three assists in eighteen appearances.
His other clubs include Kilmarnock, Wigan Athletic, AEK Athens and East Bengal.
Enobakhare became provisionally cap-tied to Nigeria on November 9, 2019 when he made his competitive debut in an U23 AFCON match against Ivory Coast.
