'No doubt about it' - Rangers icon names Aribo as club's 'best player by a country mile'
Published: December 08, 2021Former Glasgow Rangers captain Barry Ferguson considers Joe Aribo the most outstanding player at the Light Blues ahead of the likes of Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Glen Kamara and James Tavernier.
The Nigeria international has had a good start to the 2021-2022 Scottish Premiership season, either scoring or assisting in every other game, with a goal involvement of eight (5 goals, 3 assists) in sixteen outings in the division.
Aribo has also played a significant role in Rangers' campaign in the Europa League, starting every single game as they booked their place in the knockout rounds.
"I thought he was really good for Rangers last year and I think he has gone up levels this season," Ferguson said on
the Go Radio Football Show via Inside Futbol.
"He has been Rangers’ best player by a country mile, there is no doubt about it.
"Looking at Rangers and the Rangers support go on about Morelos, Kent and so on, and rightly so as they are big players for Rangers but for me, Joe Aribo is the outstanding player for Rangers."
