Interim Nigeria boss Augustine Eguavoen will run the rule over at least eleven roster invites when the national team begin training on Sunday ahead of their their trip to Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Nantes winger Moses Simon is the latest player to link up with his international teammates at their training camp in Abuja.
Simon's arrival in camp means he will not be at the disposal of manager Antoine Kombouaré for the Coupe de France clash against Vitre this afternoon.
The 26-year-old is one of three players who has been involved in all the six matches played by the national team since the start of the 2021-2022 season, the others being Victor Osimhen and Jamilu Collins.
Preparations for the continental showpiece continued on New Year's Day with ten players participating in the workout.
Henry Onyekuru, Taiwo Awoniyi, Francis Uzoho, Daniel Akpeyi, John Noble, Peter Olayinka, Chidera Ejuke, Olisa Ndah, Chidozie Awaziem and Sadiq Umar were the players in attendance.
