Former Nigeria U23 invitee Kelechi may depart Portugal this month
Published: January 11, 2022Former Nigeria U23 invitee and Casa Pia Athletic FC of Portugal defender Kelechi John is attracting strong interest from clubs in Sweden, Israel and the Netherlands.
The former Plateau United utility defender who can play everywhere in the defence has been rock solid for his Portuguese side.
Casa Pia Athletic presently top the Segunda Liga table in Portugal with 33 points from 17 games and are immensely pushing for promotion to the top flight.
Sources close to the player have revealed he is highly touted to be highly valued by a top unnamed Swedish side and may switch clubs this January.
It will be recalled that Kelechi was nominated for the Best Player Award in the regular season of the Portuguese Liga Revelacao for the 2018-2019 campaign.
