Official : Another dual-eligible player joins Spanish Primera Iberdrola club Real Betis
Through a statement on their official website, Spanish Primera Iberdrola club Real Betis have announced the acquisition of Finnish-born striker Roosa Funmilayo Ariyo.

The Super Falcon is the second dual-eligible player of Nigerian descent to switch to the Andalusian club this month, following in the footsteps of London-born winger Rinsola Babajide who joined from Liverpool.

Ariyo has Primera Iberdrola experience under her belt, making nine appearances for UDG Tenerife in the first half of the season.

On the 27-year-old's curriculum vitae, she lists Monroe Tribunes, Bridgeport Purple Knights, Honka, Jitex and TiPS as her previous employers.

In her first words as a player of Real Betis, Ariyo said to the club's official webpage : "I am very happy to be here, I think we have a good team.

"I can play as a nine, run into space and score goals".

Ariyo made her Nigeria debut in an international friendly against Jamaica in June 2021.
