Published: January 23, 2022
Nigeria's caretaker manager Augustine Eguavoen has announced his starting lineup for Sunday evening's round of sixteen Africa Cup of Nations clash against Tunisia at Roumdé Adjia Stadium, Garoua.
The former ACB Lagos defender has reverted to the same team that defeated Egypt and Sudan in the first two matches in the group stage, meaning he has made eight changes to the side that started against Guinea-Bissau.
For the goalkeeper position, Watford loanee Maduka Okoye has come in for Omonia Nicosia's Francis Uzoho.
Ola Aina returns to take his place in the back-line alongside former Chelsea teammate Kenneth Omeruo, William Troost-Ekong and Zaidu Sanusi.
There are starts for Wilfred Ndidi and Glasgow Rangers star Joe Aribo in the heart of midfield with Kelechi Iheanacho potentially playing as the playmaker.
Former Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi leads the line and he's supported by Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon.
