Two players of Nigerian descent combine to score for Chelsea U18s in 4-1 win vs Aston Villa
Chelsea have returned to the top of the U18 Premier League South table after a convincing 4-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday afternoon with several youngsters of Nigerian descent on parade.

Chelsea had in their starting lineup fullback Derrick Abu and Louis Flower while Richard Olise, younger brother of 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise, and schoolboy Somto Boniface came off the bench in the second half.

Striker Ruben Shakpoke and winger Chisom Afoka started for Aston Villa in the game staged at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.

Strikes from Luke Badley-Morgan and Silko Thomas and an own goal from Taylor-Jay Hart saw Chelsea establish a three-goal lead before the hour mark, before Finley Munroe reduced the deficit with a header in the 88th minute.

With the last kick of the game, Flower fired a shot inside the far post to wrap up the scoring after he was assisted by fellow Anglo-Nigerian teenager Abu.

2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Prince Adegoke watched proceedings from the bench for Chelsea.
