Victor Osimhen was delighted to get on the scoresheet for Napoli in their 2-0 win over Tyronne Ebuehi's Venezia at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo on Sunday afternoon.
On his return to the starting lineup, the Nigeria international hit the post with his effort in the 28th minute before opening the scoring with a brilliant header at minute 59 when the ball was delivered at the back post by Matteo Politano.
Prior to the visit to Venice, Osimhen had not started for the Blues since suffering a cheekbone injury against Inter Milan on November 21.
Speaking to DAZN post-match, Osimhen said : "It feels good to start from the first minute, I think I prepared well for this game and I had a good week. I was ready to kick on from the first minute and of course to start with a goal.
"I'm really happy about this performance from the whole squad, we played against a well-determined team also and I'm happy for this win."

When asked if his mask is working very good for him, he jokingly replied : "I think so, it's good luck for me".
Following their win over Venezia who also paraded ex-Nigeria U23 international , David Okereke, Napoli have gone one point shy of Inter Milan before they host the Nerazzurri on February 12.
