Agent reacts to reports linking Osimhen with N44.8b move to Premier League
Published: April 15, 2022
Victor Osimhen's intermediary, Andrea D'Amico has reacted to speculation linking the Napoli striker with a summer move to the Premier League.
The Nigeria international previously played for clubs in the German Bundesliga and French Ligue 1 and is now featuring in the Serie A, so a move to the English top-flight or Spanish La Liga seems the next logical step to take in his career.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United are among the Premier League clubs strongly linked with a move for Osimhen in the last couple of weeks, while Real Madrid are reportedly an admirer.
Osimhen's performances for Napoli this season have been excellent, scoring sixteen goals in all competitions, despite missing two months of the campaign due to a cheekbone fracture.
It has been claimed that clubs interested in acquiring Osimhen will have to cough up a fee in the region of 100 million euros (N44.8 billion) to sign the Super Eagles star.
In quotes relayed by Calcio Napoli 24, D'Amico said on Radio Kiss Kiss : "100 million for Osimhen from the Premier League? It is premature to say, if he continues like this he will be one of the hungry players but it will be necessary to wait for the end of this Championship."
Osimhen, 23, has a contract with Napoli until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
