Dennis reaches double figures in goals in Watford's loss to Brentford
Published: April 16, 2022
Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Dennis netted an equaliser for Watford with 55 minutes played on Saturday afternoon in a 2-1 defeat to away side Brentford at Vicarage Road in the English Premier League.
Danish defender Kristoffer Ajer flicked on Ethan Pinnock's long throw and found Christian Norgaard to side-foot Brentford into the lead fifteen minutes into the game.
With Watford hoping for at least a draw, Pontus Jansson had other ideas as he struck five minutes into added time to restore Brentford's lead.
Stoke City loanee Oghenekaro Etebo was an unused substitute and Bees midfielder Frank Onyeka is still on the sidelines due to an ankle injury he suffered while on international duty last month.
The defeat confines Watford in the nineteenth place in the Premier League standings with 22 points after round 32 matches.

His compatriots, William Troost-Ekong and Samuel Kalu did not pass fitness tests as they stayed out with hamstring and ankle injuries.
