Three Super Eagles stars in action as Everton earn draw against Leicester City
Published: April 20, 2022
Three Super Eagles Stars were in action at Goodison ParkĀ on Wednesday night as Everton and Leicester City played out a pulsating 1-1 draw.
Everton are battling for their lives at the wrong end of the Premier League table and were desperate for a positive result at home as they sat just three above the drop zone.
Alex Iwobi played for all 90 minutes in the game for Everton while the duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman started the game and came from the bench respectively.
Harvey Barnes who was substituted by Ademola Lookman in the 67th minute put the Foxes ahead as early as the 5th minute but Brazilian striker Richarlison restored parity in added time as Frank Lampard and his boys fight to ease their relegation worries.
Iheanacho could not add to his tally of seven goals in all competitions before he was replaced by Patson Daka with thirteen minutes left on the clock.
Following the draw against the Foxes, Everton are four points above the drop zone ahead of Sunday's Merseyside derby.
