Hale Ender Azeez pictured training at Emirates Stadium final workout pre-Man Utd
Published: April 23, 2022
As expected, Miguel Azeez is in Arsenal's provisional squad for their eagerly anticipated Premier League meeting with Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
The England U20 international of Nigerian descent was not in the traveling squad to Old Trafford, where the Gunners U23s were forced to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United on Friday evening.
The Hale End Academy product was among the players pictured training with Arsenal's first team in their final workout at the Emirates Stadium on Friday, putting him in contention to be involved in some capacity against the Red Devils.
Having said that, Azeez should be fourth choice in the pecking order of defensive midfielders for the visit of Manchester United, with first team stars Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny and Albert Sambi Lokonga also involved in the training session at N7 7AJ.
Azeez is widely considered to be one of the most talented players in the Arsenal academy but has yet to feature for the first team so far in 2021-2022.
The 19-year-old has first team experience under his belt this season, having made ten appearances for Portsmouth before he was recalled from his loan spell in the January transfer window.
