Cheltenham Town have published their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2021-2022 season.
The Robins retained their League One status having finished fifteenth in the final standings with 56 points points accumulated from 46 matches.
Exciting striker of Nigerian descent Kion Etete is one of six players returning to their parent clubs.
The 20-year-old Tottenham Hotspur-owned player joined Cheltenham Town in the January transfer window after he was recalled from his loan spell at Northampton Town.
He departs Cheltenham Town after logging 945 minutes spread across thirteen games in the third-tier of English football.
Etete was involved in six goals (3 goals, 3 assists) in those games, bagging three at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium and the other half came away from home.
The Anglo-Nigerian was nominated for the club's Player of the Month for February 2022 but missed out on the award to midfielder Elliot Bonds.
Here is his farewell message to Cheltenham Town fans, staff and players :
"Been an absolute pleasure to play here I’d like to thank all the fans, staff and players you’ve been incredible wishing you all the best for the future."
