Published: April 02, 2023
Folarin Balogun has received the medical green light to take to the pitch on Sunday afternoon when Stade de Reims face Nantes at the Stade de la Beaujoire - Louis Fonteneau.
Reims boss Will Still has called up twenty one players, including the Arsenal loanee, meaning he has to drop at least one player from the provisional squad before the start of the game.
The center forward withdrew from the England U21 squad for their March internationals due to injury.
Balogun has worked on his recovery during the international break, paving the way for him to be included in the traveling squad for the visit to Pays de la Loire.
The Hale End Academy graduate was spotted training with the Stade de Reims squad in the lead-up to the game against the Canaries.
Balogun was in Orlando, near the United States Men's National Team camp after pulling out of the England U21 squad, sparking speculation that he is leaning towards pledging his international allegiance to his country of birth.
The 21-year-old was in brilliant form before the international break, netting in back-to-back games against Monaco and Marseille to take his tally this campaign to 18 goals in all competitions.
