Kane alternative : Man Utd rank France star higher than Osimhen, Chelsea product also considered
Published: May 02, 2023
French forward Randal Kolo Muani is reportedly higher on Manchester United's wish list than Napoli forward Victor Osimhen as an alternative to their primary target, Harry Kane, according to Sky Deutschland transfer market expert Florian Plettenberg.
With the club potentially not being able to land Kane, the club is looking for viable alternatives as they seek to bolster their attack ahead of next season.
Muani has registered thirteen goals and twelve assists for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga as compared to Osimhen's 21 for Napoli in the Serie A is preferred by the Red Devils and they are pushing very hard to bring him over to Old Trafford.
The report also added that the Red Devils have begun talks with Muani's representatives as they push to secure his signature ahead of other suitors.
In another report, the Red Devils are also eyeing a move for Chelsea's Cobham product Tammy Abraham as another alternative to Kane.
It has been reported that they had sent scouts to watch Abraham over the weekend.
Abraham joined Roma from Chelsea in 2021 and has notched 38 goals in 98 appearances for Jose Mourinho's men.
Chelsea inserted a buyback clause of €80million (£70m) into the deal taking the striker to Roma, which would allow them bring him back to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Osimhen has also been linked with Chelsea as well as Bayern Munich and PSG ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.
