'We'll see' - Genk striker Arokodare teases possible transfer but pledges 100% commitment either way
Published: May 16, 2025
Tolu Arokodare has shared insight on his future at Belgian side KRC Genk, leaving the door open for a possible summer transfer.
Arokodare has been a standout performer for Genk this season, netting 20 goals and registering five assists in 38 league appearances.
His impressive form has fueled transfer speculation, with Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund reportedly showing interest in the Nigerian forward.
Despite the growing rumours, Arokodare has suggested he could remain at Genk next season.
Speaking to Het Belang van Limburg, the Super Eagles striker expressed his full commitment to the club, but bowed to give one hundred percent to his new team if a transfer materializes.
"We'll see what comes my way. I'm happy in Genk. If I'm still playing here next season, I'll do everything for the team," Arokodare said.
"And if I'm working somewhere else, I'll do the same for my new team."
Arokodare's impressive performances also earned him a call-up to the Super Eagles, making his debut against Rwanda in March during the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
The 24-year-old will now be hoping for another invitation ahead of the Unity Cup tournament in London this June.
With the summer transfer window fast approaching, Tolu is expected to be one of the most in-demand strikers, thanks to his standout campaign.
