Confirmed: Brother of Manchester United striker Obi signs new deal with West Ham

With a statement on the official website, West Ham United have announced the club's new intake of first year scholars for the 2025-2026 season.
Eleven promising talented have have signed full-time scholarship contracts with the Academy of Football, including Nigeria-eligible forward Chukwuemeka Obi.
In case Chukwuemeka Obi's name doesn't sound familiar, he is the younger brother of Manchester United striker Chido Obi, who made headlines with his move from London club Arsenal to Old Trafford last summer.
Chukwuemeka has progressed through the Hammers academy ranks to sign a scholarship.
The Danish-Nigerian attacker made his competitive debut in the U18 Premier League in his final season as a schoolboy, coming off the bench for the final 12 minutes of a 3-1 loss to Arsenal in January.
Chukwuemeka was at Arsenal prior to his move to West Ham United at U15 level.
A Denmark youth international, the tall, powerful striker was a focal point for West Ham U16s last season, scoring 17 goals.
Tommy Goodger, Tomas Jonyla, Joel Kerr, Jephthah Medine, Harry Montague, Reggie Morris-Agyemang, Tyrone Omotoye, Vinnie Perkins, Martin Peychev and Joe Scanlon have also signed scholarship deals.
The new 2025 scholars were joined by their parents for the induction evening at Rush Green Training Ground.
Meanwhile, West Ham confirmed last week that another forward of Nigerian descent Andre Dike has signed his first professional contract with the club.
