Skilful Nigerian midfielder signs new Everton deal, has already played at Hill Dickinson Stadium

With a statement on the official website, Premier League club Everton have announced their new intake of first year scholars for the 2025-2026 season.
As per Premier League rules, all players in their U17 year are required to start the upcoming season on a scholarship agreement, before they are permitted to sign a first professional football contract on or after their 17th birthday.
Among the first year scholars is skilful midfielder Malik Olayiwola, who has signed a fresh two-year contract.
Olayiwola is widely considered one of the most gifted 16-year-olds of Nigerian descent currently on the books of a Premier League club.
In his final season as a schoolboy, he appeared in thirteen matches in the U18 Premier League, registering four goal involvements, and also made his debut in the FA Youth Cup.
Olayiwola made his U18 Premier League debut at just 15 years old, coming off the bench to play the final ten minutes in a 2-0 defeat to Derby County.
In February 2025, he etched his name into the history books by becoming one of the first Everton players to appear at their new home, Hill Dickinson Stadium, featuring for the final 28 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Wigan Athletic U18s.
On the international stage, the Golden Eaglets-eligible midfielder has made ten appearances for England at U16 level, scoring against the Netherlands and registering an assist against Denmark.
Having signed a scholarship with the Toffees, he is now aiming to feature in a competitive match at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Olayiwola describes himself as a midfielder, who is athletic, brave and ambitious.
