EMMANUEL EMENIKE Praises Coach UNAI EMERY
Published: August 07, 2012
Spartak Moscow Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike has praised his coach, the Spaniard Unai Emery, who has led the red and white to three victories in three games in the Russian championship.
''He is like a father to us: to each his approach, with each talk. Sometimes a soak - everyone laughing, the mood lifted. But everything has its time: when you want to work hard - work hard, and between exercises can be a bit serious.
''Emery has a very calm manner of communication. During the break, in the match with Volga, when we conceded in the locker room was not high tones. "Relax - he told us. - Calm down,'' said Emenike, who is a very good swimmer, to Soviet Sport.
Emenike proved his loyalty to Spartak Moscow by penning a four year deal before the start of the season despite interest from clubs in Turkey, England and Italy. Now, he says he won't depart the club unless they win a trophy.
