BROWN IDEYE: KESHI Is Concentrating On Local League Players!
Published: September 13, 2012
Dynamo Kiev striker Brown Ideye has shared his thoughts to the official website on his recent invitation to the National Team by Stephen Keshi for the African Cup of Nations qualifying match against Liberia in Monrovia this past weekend.
''The coach called me and wanted me to play for the National Team. I gladly accepted but did not participate in the match. The gaffer is concentrating on players playing in the local league.
''Every coach has his own style and vision of the game. Maybe he thought I would not be able to express myself, so did not let me enter the field. Ultimately, the decision rests with the head coach. If the coach will invite me, I'm happy to be playing - if not, concentrate on playing for the club,'' Ideye told the official website of the Ukrainian vice - champions.
The capital club, who are 6 points behind leaders Shakhtar Donetsk, face Karpaty in the ninth round of matches on Friday. Ideye, back to Ukraine after a long and tiring flight, could add to his 7 strikes in the league.
