Nigeria To Play Cape Verde On January 9 At St Louis Stadium, Faro

The Super Eagles will trade tackles with Nations Cup debutants Cape Verde in an exhibition match at the St Louis Stadium in Faro, Portugal. The game is scheduled for January 9th and will kick off at 8 pm local time.
The friendly match is one of the tune up games that has been lined up by the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF) to prepare The Blue Sharks for their maiden appearance at the African Cup of Nations, billed to be staged next year in South Africa from January 19 - February 10.
On January 6, Cape Verde National Team and officials will leave Praia for their training camp in Algarve, Portugal, where they will stay for 5 days. According to the schedule released on Saturday, two days after the friendly against Nigeria, the squad will leave for Johannesburg via Luanda.
Cape Verde, who are ranked 69th in the world (regional ranking of 15th), will play South Africa, Morocco and Angola in Group A of the Nations Cup.
