Golden Eaglets Skipper Musa Mohammed Sends Message To Nigerians
Published: November 07, 2013
Captain Musa Mohammed has sent a message to Nigerians, stating that the Golden Eaglets are fully focused ahead of the titanic clash with Mexico in the final of the Fifa Under 17 World Cup.
“The first game is in the past, now we focus on the following. It’ll be a difficult game because it is a final and both teams are playing a lot. Want to concentrate more than before.
“We try to improve in every game because this tournament is special to Nigeria and its people. We are totally happy to play for a fourth title,” record.com.mx quoted Mohammed as saying.
The defender has opined that the Eaglets got to this stage of the competition as a result of their teamwork.
“We have many players who can do damage, there is no player who is above another. Everyone puts their best for the cause, for the team and the country.”
Nigeria will win the Fifa Under 17 World Cup for a record fourth time should they overcome Mexico on Friday in Abu Dhabi.
The West Africans previously won the competition in 1985, 1993 and 2007 plus qualified for the final on four other occasions - 1987, 2001, 2009 and 2013.
