Relegation - Threatened Aalesund Refusing To Sanction Departure Of Leke James
Published: August 07, 2014
Aalesund attacker Leke James , 21, says he is unlikely to depart his Norwegian club this summer.
With only 12 rounds remaining before the end of the Tippeligaen, AaFK are struggling to stay afloat, with only 18 points in the kitty, and all hands must be on deck to reverse the negative trend instead of depleting the workforce.
Three teams based in Russia - Tom Tomsk, Kuban Krasnodar and Krylia Sovetov Samara - had approached Aalesund for the signature of Leke James in the winter transfer market but the club refused to sanction his departure.
“I may leave the club but it might not be in this summer because of the position we find ourselves on the table.
“Aalesund are not willing to sell me now but the chance is stronger in the winter, ” says Leke James to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The forward has registered his name on the score-sheet 3 times in his last 4 league games.
