World Exclusive: Scout Reveals Everton & Malaga Are NOT Interested In Golden Eaglets Star Samuel Chukwueze
Published: November 15, 2015
Everton have pulled out of the race to sign Nigeria Under 17 international Samuel Chukwueze after he was offered to the leadership of The Toffees by ex Omani - based footballer Ifeanyi Igwenjoku, who claims to scout for several European teams now.
From the word go, the proposed deal was heading towards the brick wall for the simple reason that Igwenjoku and his Spanish - based partner never made any contact with the Golden Eaglets midfielder, his intermediaries and Diamond Football Academy, Umuahia, who own his sporting rights in theory.
“I have not spoken directly to Samuel Chukwueze and his club, Diamond Football Academy,” Ifeanyi Igwenjoku told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Everton have withdrawn their interest in Chukwueze because of the stress in obtaining a work permit for him. They informed us of the decision last night (Saturday).
“For now, it’s only Red Bull Salzburg that have shown genuine interest because they scouted him during the World Cup and we have had a meeting with them, they like him. But we plan to discuss with Levante and Granada on Tuesday.”
The 16 - year - old Chukwueze displayed his wares at the Under 17 World Cup, helping the Nigeria U17s win the tourney with 3 goals and 3 assists to his name.
