Gbolahan Salami, Etebo, Egwuekwe, Kwambe, 9 Others Report Warri Wolves To Fifa Over N82.5 Million Overdue Liability
Published: March 05, 2016
Thirteen players that were once on the books of Warri Wolves have petitioned Fifa through their lawyer over the refusal of the club to pay their outstanding entitlements despite an ultimatum from the League Management Company.
The players include Nigeria internationals Azubuike Egwuekwe, Solomon Kwambe, Gbolahan Salami and ThankGod Ike, Dream Team VI stars Oghenekaro Etebo and Stanley Dimgba.
Ojo Mine, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu, Abu Azeez, Ichull Lordson, Omofoman Freedom, Joseph Osadiaye and Oke Ogagotweho are also among the claimants.
The 13 players want Warri Wolves to pay N82,507,960.00 being the sum total of all remuneration/fees accruable to the claimants from the contracts entered with the club.
The Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) of Fifa is expected to officially contact Warri Wolves in the coming days and they could be banned and thrown out of the CAF Champions League if they fail to honour the obligations.
