Exciting Wing-Back Chiori Johnson Trains With Arsenal First Team Pre-West Ham
Published: April 08, 2016
Chiori Johnson, who is eligible to represent Nigeria according to The Guardian Nigeria, trained with Arsenal’s first team ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against fellow Londoners West Ham at the Boleyn Ground.
The 18-year-old was drafted into the first team by manager Arsene Wenger following his outstanding performance for the U18s in their 2-2 draw with Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup on Monday night.
Johnson penned a scholarship deal with the Gunners in the summer of 2014 before he was handed a professional contract in January 2016.
Though yet to make his competitive debut for the main squad, he has games under his belt in the U21 Premier League and was also in action in the UEFA Youth League.
He will suit up with the kit number 46 if he is handed his professional debut against the Hammers.
