Exclusive: AZ Alkmaar Yet To Make Bid For Friday; Lillestrom Striker Resumes Training
Published: July 12, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that former Dream Team VI trainee Fred Friday is back in Scandinavia after his trip to Holland, where he visited the training facilities at Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar.
AZ Alkmaar are in the market for a striker following the departure of Vincent Janssen to Tottenham Hotspur and have firmed up their interest in the Nigerian by inviting for initial talks.
While the Dutch club have opened a line of communication with Lillestrom and have enquired about Friday`s asking price, the Norwegians have not received a bid from the Cheeseheads.
AZ face competition as an unnamed European club, who are also interested in the signature of the 21-year-old, and he will check out their facilities in the coming days before making a decision.
Friday returned to Norway on Tuesday evening and will resume training with the Canaries on Wednesday morning.
