Done Deal : Dalkurd Bring In Oke Akpoveta; Handed No. 25 Kit
Published: July 13, 2016
Former Warri Wolves striker Oke Akpoveta has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal with Swedish Superettan side Dalkurd after choosing not to extend his stay at rivals IK Frej.
The Nigerian frontman had appended his signature to the contract before he went on vacation last month but decided to keep it a secret until today when Dalkurd announced his capture.
The 24-year-old Akpoveta had a descent start to his career in Sweden, scoring 10 goals in 13 appearances in the second-tier, the highest number of goals he has netted for a club since he turned professional.
For the remainder of the season, he will wear the number 25 kit.
Oke Akpoveta trained for the first time with his new teammates today, Wednesday.
