Published: July 16, 2016
Defensive midfielder Seyi Olofinjana has returned to Wolverhampton Wanderers, eight years after he left the club to join Stoke City.
With the first-teamers and the outstanding youngsters at the Academy off to Ireland for pre-season training, the defensive midfielder was drafted into the U21s squad for Saturday’s friendly against Hednesford Town.
However, Olofinjana was not at the match venue to make up the numbers as he was given a run out in the closing minutes of the encounter against the Northern Premier League Premier Division opponents.
Now 36, he spent four seasons at the Molineux and netted 18 goals (6 assists) in 142 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Apart from the aforementioned teams, he represented Hull City, Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City, IK Start and SK Brann.
