Ex-Manchester City, Fulham Star Etuhu Shown The Exit Door By AIK
Published: October 21, 2016
Allsvenskan side AIK Stockholm are preparing to bid farewell to Nigeria international Dickson Etuhu.
Swedish newspaper Expressen writes that the former Manchester City and Fulham midfielder has been informed by sporting director Bjorn Wesström that his contract will not be extended at the end of the 2016 season.
Since returning from injury Etuhu has found game time hard to come by, playing just two games in the top-flight this season, and this contributed to AIK’s decision to ease him out.
The 34-year-old joined AIK in December 2014 and was a big hit in his first season outside England, making 21 appearances in the Allsvenskan and scored 2 goals ( 1 assist).
He has also played for Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers, Norwich City and Sunderland.
