Belgian-Based Nigerians Simon, Onyekuru Among West Brom Summer Transfer Targets
Published: April 15, 2017
At least one Nigerian striker based in Belgium may join Premier League team West Brom in the summer transfer window, if transfer reports are anything to go by.
Allnigeriasoccer.com earlier reported that the Baggies have scouted Gent star Moses Simon on more than one occasion this season, including at the Hive Stadium, where Nigeria tackled Senegal in a friendly.
Now the Daily Mail has claimed that West Brom have joined the plethora of clubs keeping tabs on the situation of Eupen frontman Henry Onyekuru.
While Moses is eligible to be granted a work permit based on his appearances for the Super Eagles, the thing is Onyekuru is uncapped, meaning West Brom have to pay through the roof to sign him and hope he's granted a work permit on appeal.
Onyekuru, 19, netted his 18th goal of the season in the first half of Eupen's 3-3 draw with Lokeren on Saturday.
